Accessible Rail Timetable

Matthew Somerville is a genius. He's just done an accessible Train Timetable for the UK.

If I wasn't so fat, I'd want one.

international moth sailing dinghy at speed on its hydrofoils

Rohan Veal sailing his hydrofoil-equipped International Moth sailing dinghy.

Mental. Someone sponsor him now, so he can bring his amazing creation over to the UK this summer.

Movable Type as a basic CPS

Seems to work very well for a basic site like this one

It's a bit of a hassle to set up, but the flexibility it gives you to manage user permissions carefully is rather fab, and you can keep a tight rein on templates & css.

And it's free which always helps.

Digital Fatigue, and A Real Click

We didn't use the digital camera over Christmas. Jo's SLR felt solid, meaty, and the 'click' when it took a photo echoed deep in the psyche. To think we nearly sold it.

And it felt good to get hard copy photo things back from Snappy Snaps - though naturellement we also got a CD with digital versions just in case.

Also got an old B&W roll of film developed, on which was this gem of Barney being Barney, and me being me (700k)
