I just trawled up the Wired UK Manifesto, from 1996.
The authors, Oliver Morton , John Browning I presume, were way ahead of their time.
When it first came out I never clocked this manifesto as being anything other than wannabe west coast techno-utopia-wishy-washiness. I should have been less lazy and blinkered.
So, I sold the Wayferer (roomy, but too heavy to haul out) and bought a Wanderer (2 foot shorter; lots lighter; same 1990 vintage).
This weekend we all trooped up to Waldringfield and sailed up and down the Deben en famille.
Magnifique.
